Aleta has accepted positions of increasing responsibility to reach her current position as Senior Accountant and CPA - but the road has not always been easy. With tenacity and great spirit, she worked her way through Dutchess Community College and SUNY New Paltz, seeing an accounting career as her desired path. With opportunities to move elsewhere, Aleta decided to remain in the Hudson Valley and build her career here, seeing it as the place where she wanted to raise her young son. With a recommendation of her college professor, she landed at Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell in 2004 where she quickly assumed leadership roles and just as quickly, passed her CPA exam and became a licensed certified public accountant. She is a strong believer in the importance of education and as such, she speaks several times each year to freshmen accounting students at DCC and participates each year at the Career/Networking Symposium for School of Business students at SUNY New Paltz. Active with the HUB (Young Professionals of the Hudson Valley), Aleta is a enthusiastic young women who has succeeded despite challenges to become a wonderful parent, a successful professional and involved member of the community.
