CONGRATULATIONS TO JENNIFER R. GEORGE, CPA, MAC ON BEING RECOGNIZED AS A YOUNG MOVER AND SHAKER OF THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY. 

During the day, Jennifer R. George, CPA, MAC is a Manager in the Accounting and Auditing Department with our firm. By night Jen is a wife and mother and in her spare time, enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, cross-stitching, walking and baking.  She is also a big sports fan and was the first female umpire for the Wallkill Little League.

On Monday, February 25, 2008 Jennifer along with 39 other movers and shakers were applauded for their achievements in their profession and commitment to the community to a sold out crowd of 700. 

The Forty Under 40 Shaker Awards were launched three years ago by the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce in order to recognize the achievements of young people living and working in the Hudson Valley.

CELEBRITY WAITERS SHOW THEIR ‘GAMS’

The second Annual Celebrity Waiters Brunch fundraiser at the Dutchess Golf and Country Club in Poughkeepsie, benefiting the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, a nonprofit organization located in Poughkeepsie, was attended by more than 165 people and raised $24,000.

Twenty local business leaders and supporters donated tuxedo jackets and shirts, while the local celebrity waiters supplied their own shorts and legs – all in good fun and for a good cause.  Rick Zolzer, the master of ceremonies, conducted a Hudson Valley variation of “Deal or No Deal,” trivia games and a live auction during the brunch.

Our Managing Partner, Thomas Weddell downed his Angel Wings and came runner up in the MILLION DOLLAR GAMS category.
